Manual Therapies

Manual therapies consist of soft tissue mobilisation, such as massage therapy, and joint mobilisations, such as stretching and range of motion. 


The benefits of these are as follows:


  • Massage helps relieve muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote relaxation in all animals.
     
  • Stretching enhances flexibility, prevents stiffness, and supports joint and muscle health.
     
  • Range of motion exercises maintain joint mobility, reduce stiffness, and support functional movement.

Rehabilitation exercises are tailored to each individual animals requirements, dependant on assessment findings. Some rehab exercises include; weight-shifting, pole work and weaving.


These rehabilitation exercises focus primarily on strengthening, flexibility, balance, and coordination, providing the following benefits:

  • Improving joint flexibility and range of motion.
     
  • Regular rehab promotes better balance and coordination.
